Farewell and good riddance to 2020!

We might as well erase it from our collective memories and just jump from 2019 to 2021. Here’s hoping that 2021 more than makes up for the chaos of ’20.

While ’20 was the hardest year in live entertainment that I can remember in my 30+ career, I have re-learned how valuable music and the connection of live entertainment is.

My team and I plan to spend 2021 bringing music and entertainment to every corner of the country.

We Turn 7

There have been and will continue to be a few changes to All Things Entertainment structurally during this year because of the pandemic, but what remains the same is our commitment to providing the very best in live entertainment, to all styles of venues and events around the country. This year we are 7 years old and I am hoping that 7 is a lucky number and that all of our ambitious plans come together.

So what can we expect for All Things Entertainment 2021? With some luck, a little bit of the same and a leap or two forward.

Expert Entertainment Management

Our in-house entertainment experts continue to work with venues around the country in providing expert advice, as well as entertainment schedules and promotional campaigns. From running soloists on weekends, to managing the week day trivia, raffles and karaoke, to major bands, tribute shows, dinner shows, and special events. Always tailored exactly to the needs of the venue or event.

As part of our commitment to being the best entertainment specialists available, we’ve all completed the COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate and keep up to date with the latest restrictions. We ensure that all of our entertainers are aware of the rules before they enter the venue for the performance maintaining the strictest compliance standards.

Matinees and Oldies

In 2019 we had great success in launching Sunday matinee shows and bringing live entertainment to aged care and luxury retirement villages. In 2021 we will continue to bring shows such as the Sixties Singalong, Superstars Celebration, The Cole Porter Story and the Intimate Carpenters Show (amongst others) to our older generation.

We have specialist musicians that are trained in aged care entertainment and love presenting their stories and shows, so if you’re involved in aged care or retirement entertainment, please give us a call to discuss the programmes we can offer.

Interstate and National Touring

We have had particularly good success taking shows and performers interstate and into the regional towns over the last few years and this will not stop now.

Shows such as Neil Diamond The Man The Music, Remembering The Carpenters, Wayne Donnelly’s Comedy Hypnosis, The Bee Gees Stayin’ Alive Tribute, and The Sixties Singalong Show have all had full houses in country towns across the East Coast of Australia. And in 2021  we will continue to take shows and entertainers into the regional areas and other states within the travelling restrictions.

New Shows for All Things Entertainment 2021

Nicki Gillis from the Carole King’s Tapestry show fame, launches two new shows this year which we will be introducing to clubs and theatres around the country.

They Paved Paradise (an intimate look at the trailblazing female singer songwriters of the 70’s) and Herstory; a big stage production that celebrates women in rock throughout the ages. Tapestry will continue to be staged in theatres and other venues around Australia.

Just before the shutdown, we launched the one-of-a-kind Girls Night Out show by Wayne Donnelly – to sell out audiences. This show is an absolutely unique offering of truly funny comedy hypnosis and male revue! Bachelorettes on stage believing they are Beyonce or Victoria’s Secret models, dance routines by some of the hottest male dancers in the land, opportunities to laugh at your friends falling in love with mops and so much more. It’s a wonderful break from reality.

Great for hen’s parties and bachelorettes etc, but also just really great fun for any woman who wants to just let down her hair and belly laugh at her friends on stage. We will relaunch Girls Night Out to venues up and down the East Coast of Australia and also offer the show to private parties for companies, teams and wedding parties.

We have also added new shows from the Committed to Soul team including The Story of Soul and The Joe Cocker Story. Looking forward to many evenings listening to Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, The Four Tops, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Sam and Dave, Tina Turner and Wilson Pickett.

Entertainment Supplies and Event Management from All Things Entertainment

We will continue to provide bands, dj’s, soloists and duos to all forms of private parties and functions, whether that’s a birthday party, a wedding anniversary, a wedding, a corporate function, a product launch or an expo.

Being entertainment experts, we’re able to work out exactly what the best style of music, entertainment and presentation for the event and offer additional ideas and options for extra flair.

We’re also trained event managers, so we’re more than happy to take over and run the whole thing while you sit back and congratulate yourself on a job well done.

We will be saying goodbye to a few shows and performers as some have closed due to the pandemic, some performers have retired and others have finished their runs. The website will update as we go.

I’m looking forward to the challenges that 2021 brings us, and looking forward to taking exceptional entertainment to every nook and cranny of the country.

Music will bring us together and help us come through to the other side of this crisis.
